The Process
Welcome! What a gift you are offering to others. We are honored to be a part of this journey with you. Donation requires full collaboration, commitment and a good understanding of the process and fit for the requirements. This evaluation will help you understand the specific requirements and explore personal boundaries as well as assess your motivation, understanding, ability and wellbeing. It is important for you to consider the potential ethical, social and emotional aspects of donation, now and in the future. We will help guide you through this part of the process in a thoughtful, engaged and intentional way.
Schedule
Register and complete pre-evaluation forms that will be used to streamline and guide your clinical interview.
Assessment
Take the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI). The PAI is a written, objective assessment that provides a comprehensive assessment of personality. The PAI is used in a variety of clinical settings to assess clinical diagnoses, psychopathology and various personality factors.
Interview
Attend a sixty minute clinical interview. The interview will focus on your medical, psychological and psychosocial history, current functioning and mental well-being.
The interview, in combination with the results of the PAI, will be utilized by the evaluator to provide written recommendations regarding your suitability for participation in the donor process.
