Gestational Carrier
The Process
Welcome! What a journey you are embarking on. We are honored to be a part of the process with you. A gestational surrogate is giving and providing much of themselves in so many different ways. A thorough assessment that determines appropriateness and fit benefits everyone involved. This psychological assessment will focus on your motivation, understanding, ability and wellbeing for now and in the future. We will help walk you through this part of the process in a thoughtful, engaged and intentional way.

Schedule
Schedule and complete pre-evaluation forms that will be used to streamline and guide your clinical interview.

Assessment
Take the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI). The PAI is a written, objective assessment that provides a comprehensive assessment of personality. The PAI is used in a variety of clinical settings to assess clinical diagnoses, psychopathology and various personality factors. Your spouse or live-in partner may also be required to complete the PAI.

Interview
Attend a sixty minute clinical interview. The interview will focus on your medical, psychological and psychosocial history, current functioning and mental well-being. Your spouse or live-in partner will also be required to participate in the clinical interview.
The interview, in combination with the results of the PAI, will be utilized by the evaluator to provide written recommendations regarding your suitability for participation in the donor process.
